Silver…a musical history
Silver was so inspired to begin playing music that, at the age of 11, he practically begged his parents for an acoustic "Silvertone" guitar that he found in a Sears catalog. After much prodding, Silver received his “dream” for his 12th birthday! He started playing and, being self-taught, he was determined to learn. By 15 he bought an electric guitar and amp and began playing and singing lead in local bands. As time went on, he matured, and so did his music. At one point he was with a group called "Threshold" a five-piece band that had some success in the local area. This group even played at the infamous Beverly Hills Supper Club in Southgate, Kentucky. It was during this time period that Silver decided to take voice lessons from the Director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra to increase his vocal range. As is par for the course, bands came and went and in between Silver began to do a solo acoustic act; kind of going back to his "roots."
He formed a successful acoustic duo called "Silver & Woodstock," Woodstock being the former bass player and good friend from the group “Threshold.” Together, they played “Classic Rock” for about a twelve-year stretch beginning in 2001. Silver again sang lead and played acoustic guitar, while Woodstock played bass and sang back-up harmony. Silver & Woodstock played all over the Cincinnati Tri-State Area including “Cheeseburger in Paradise” in the Anderson Township area, Millions Café in Mt. Lookout, Delany’s Bar and Grill in Ohio, Papa’s Pub in Florence, KY and many others.
Silver & Woodstock have since decided to go their separate ways. Again, Silver has returned to his "roots" as a solo act and, since then, Silver has made a decision on an even larger scale........ He has decided to take his music to the Great State of Florida! As you now know, he has performed at enumerable venues throughout the Cincinnati Tri-State. "Classic Rock" is his specialty; Elvis to Hootie and The Blowfish; The Lovin’ Spoonful to The Strawberry Alarm Clock; Tommy James and the Shondells to The Moody Blues. Since he has moved to the Sunshine State, watch for him singing and playing in your nearest Tiki Bar or restaurant. He has truly earned the title of troubadour!
Just had to comment. This party was in Spring Hill and it was Great to say the least. Even though I don't drink, booze, beer, and wine was flowing and everyone was having a great time and I must say the "Classic Rock" from Yours Truly was a Huge Hit! The food was fantastic and so was the cake. Again, "Happy Anniversary" you guys. And many more for you! I wish you the best in the years to come!
Peace,
Silver
Just so you know, I have no idea what has happened to my facebook page. For some reason, it has been taken down. I know for a fact that I never did anything to warrant this but considering their tendencies for censorship, it doesn't bother me that my page is gone. I'm an American and I don't believe in censorship. As far as I'm concerned; Good Riddance!

Silver decided that he had had enough of the cold weather and snow in the Cincinnati area. He has made the move to the Great Sunshine State. To be exact, Port Richey. This town is full of Bars, Restaurant Bars, and Tiki Huts that provide live music year round so Silver is looking to bring his style of Classic Rock to the area. He we go again! The Troubadour is in Florida and ready to rock!

Private Parties are sometimes my favorite. especially backyard barbecues, like this one!
I really enjoy Private Parties. Especially ones like this. "Backyard Barbecue!!!"
Tarpon Springs, FL
This time I am playing 5:00 - 8:00 pm. An hour longer than last time. This is the dinner hour so most of the music will be subdued "Classic Rock," but it will still be "good stuff." Thanks again for the opportunity, Mike!
